You may have spotted the ASLA Foundation vehicle cruising along one of the Cape’s provincial roads or perhaps you’ve seen it navigating a remote, off-the-beaten-path? Guided by our dedicated administrator, Mervin Green at the wheel, it carries more than just supplies – it embodies the generosity and support of our incredible sponsors, whose contributions make our interventions and initiatives possible.
Functional, healthy communities thrive on our willingness to contribute, and it is through partnerships and relationships with like-minded individuals and businesses that lend their support, that the ASLA Foundation can facilitate projects that enhance social wellbeing and quality of life.
An example of such a relationship is the partnership we enjoy with Rola Motors – one that is built on a shared commitment to supporting the Western Cape and Helderberg communities, where both the dealership and ASLA Foundation actively serve and make a difference. Rola Motors has been our valued vehicle partner since June 2024, and we extend our sincere gratitude for their generous sponsorship of the ASLA Foundation’s Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 XI CVT.
“We do generally get a lot of requests to get involved with CSI projects, however, our primary focus has always been to invest in projects aligned to education, in particular within our areas and communities,” says Paul Botha, COO of Somerset West-based Rola Motor Group. Examples include Rola’s support of the Hemel en Aarde project for the past ten years, the Headstart Kids project, as well as various school sports teams.
“There are many synergies with ASLA,” says Botha. “Both of our organizations are family-rooted businesses with deep community connections and shared values. While we have both grown significantly, ASLA remains both a valued customer and a trusted friend. Through collaboration, we can create a greater impact, and as a multi-generational business, we are committed to making a meaningful difference. Supporting the Foundation allows us to contribute to a lasting legacy that extends beyond business.”
