The Jakes Gerwel Technical School is a proud educational institution that serves the small rural town community of Bonnievale and its surrounding farms. The children attending this fee-free school come from extremely poor and challenging backgrounds and the school board recognised the need to provide some of the most vulnerable learners in the community a safe home and environment, to support their ability to complete their schooling. We partnered with the school to renovate the two homes, known as Kruispad Een (boys) and Kruispad Twee (girls) and these renovated areas have contributed to the comfort, safety, and happiness of the learners.
